This is a three ingredient variation on meatballs and spaghetti using a pound of hamburger meat. We get three meals out of this. Very economical and in some respects easier then working with meatballs.

Start by openning up the hamburger meat and place in pan after spraying a little pam around the bottom. With a spatula break up the meat into bite size chunks. Use medium heat to brown it.
While the meat is browning fill a pot half full of water and bring it to a boil for the spaghetti.

When the water is boiling drop in the spaghetti. I take am amount the size that fits between my thumb and forefinger. There is no to much or too little. when it returns to a boil back off to medium heat and periodically give it a stir.
This will take time to cook. When finished the spaghetti will be soft and can be easily cut with a folk.

While the meat is brown you will want to drain off the excess fat. I use the pan cover to strain out the fat, keeping the hamburger in the pan.
As an aside, I drain the fat into an empty glass jar as over time it can clog up the sink drain pipe and a plumber has to be called!

When the spaghetti is ready it looks like this. Plump and soft easily cut with a knife. Turn off the heat and use a colander or pot lid to drain the water.

Time to put it all together! Add the spaghetti on top of the hamburger meat. Then add the sauce. I start with about 3/4 of a jar, Turn heat back on medium to warm up the sauce. Stir till the meat and spaghetti are covered in the sauce. Add more sauce if needed.

When finished turn off the heat and use either tongs or two spoons to make each serving. As I mentioned we get three meals with this. Add garlic toast if you like and sprinkle some parmesan cheese over each plate. Enjoy!
